The Latest YY Soft Brand..

we are now promoting YYC new product for everyone...- YY Soft..
history of YY Soft:
YY Soft was created in year 2008, under encouraged of our 1st secretary- Iris. Our English teacher gave us an advertisement work for every group.. and , we are free to choose any product tht we would like to advertise.. since, YYC is a very open minded group and at 1st the product tht came up on YYC's mind is 'condom', and thinking about the advertisement is nt suitable for every student in our class.. we decided to change another topic... after goin through brainstorm of every YYC member.. at last, our 1st secretary, iris think out to advertise a new brand of YYC, called the YY Soft..we all agreed toward her idea, except, kitty(our pengerusi).. the reason why kitty object on this idea is because.. she scared she will malu and everyone will laugh at us... HAHAA!!! but, because YYC member all are brave and open minded.. we don't mind about this.. and we decided to continue our new product and class 5A is our 1st target to advertise our new product and then to all over the world..=x
we started to draw how the advertisement should looked like.. and we also decided to do video recording to YY soft.. but, unfortunately, because of running out of time.. so, YYC only completed the drawing of the product..(note: the picture above is juz a sketching frm activity director.. it's nt the original one which YYC members had put a lot of effort on it)..
and finally... our advertisement is successful.. the teacher helped us t promote our new product by advertising it at the outside of the staffroom.. and every student who passing by the corner will notice the advertisement... WAKAKAKAK!!!!! that time when we saw our product was advertise on the board.. we are soo happy and every 1 of the YYC member was laughing out of our ass ( the 1st YYC member who notice our product was promoted is the 2nd secretary- FC) she told us tht she's so ashame of it.. but, as the YYC member, we should be open minded rite?? XD~ finally!!!! WE ARE VERY PROUD OF IT!!! HAHAHAHA!!!

What would our country be like if Kitty was the prime minister?

As all you patriotic (patriotik konon) Malaysians must have heard by now, there's been a little drama going on about our current PM (Prime Minister), Datuk Badawi. A lot of people, especially Tan Sri Doktor Mahadil is urging him to step down cause he allegedly doesn't know how to run this country. So, our PM is stepping down this december and I'm not sure who's gonna replace him, maybe it's his timbalan that erm...Najib guy or someone else. So, in this current confusion I think it will be best to place one of our own YYC members as the up-and-coming PM and who would be better at doing the job than our YYC President, Kitty Chu.
So lets imagine Kitty as our PM and the other YYC members, namely Jane, FC and myself would be her noble and creative advisers. There will certainly be a lot of changes since our Kitty is such an 'open-minded' person.

First of all, this will be our new national flag and symbol.

The country's new government offices. So colourful. It is specially designed by FC.

This is how the workers will work if Kitty was PM.

Putera Kulat (eh, kian putih pulak?) will be running the country when Kitty is busy with her clients (isteri-isteri menteri).

Putera Kulat:"Ah!!! Bomb diarong semua!!! Bomb! Bomb! Bomb!"

Kitty's new PM house at Shah Alam. Each round hub is a room for each of Kitty's clients. The one in the centre is Kitty and Lala's master bedroom. ;) The small rooms are for Putera Kulat and Puteri Chulalongkorn.

Me, Jane and FC's new house and office. Each statue represents one of us. I'm the one in the middle wearing red, hehe. Jane's the bold one, hahaha.

This is what Jane, FC and I would be doing during office hours as Kitty's advisers. It stimulates our creative juices to come up with new ideas to design bedrooms that can help the citizens have more 'fun' with each other.

And all the people of Malaysia will be happy like the picture above. All thanks to the effort of our new PM Kitty Chu and the other YYC members. So vote for Kitty! Vote for YYC!

xoxo, iris (wannabe PM adviser)

The History (AKA Her-story) of Mother's Day

Celebrating motherhood is a historical tradition dating back almost as far as mothers themselves. A number of ancient cultures paid tribute to mothers as goddesses, including the ancient Greeks, who celebrated Rhea, the mother of all gods. The ancient Romans also honored their mother goddess, Cybele, in a notoriously rowdy springtime celebration and the Celtic Pagans marked the coming of spring with a fertility celebration linking their goddess Brigid together with the first milk of the ewes.

During the 17th century, those living on the British isles initiated a religious celebration of motherhood, called Mothering Sunday, which was held on the forth Sunday during the Lenten season. This holiday featured the reunification of mothers and their children, separated when working class families had to send off their young children to be employed as house servants. On Mothering Sunday, the child servants were allowed to return home for the day to visit with their parents. The holiday's popularity faded in the 19th century, only to be reincarnated during World War II when U.S. servicemen reintroduced the sentimental (and commercial) aspects of the celebration American counterpart.

In the United States, Mother's Day experienced a series of false starts before eventually transitioning into the "Hallmark" holiday that we celebrate today. In 1858, Anna Reeves Jarvis was the first woman to hold an official celebration of mothers, when in her home state of West Virginia, she instituted Mothers' Work Day to raise awareness about local sanitation issues. During the Civil War, she expanded the scope of Mothers' Work Day to include sanitary conditions on both sides of the battlefield.

Meanwhile Julia Ward Howe, author of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic," attempted to institute a national celebration of mothers that honored women's inclinations toward peace (rather than cleanliness). In 1872, she initiated and promoted a Mother's Day for Peace, to be held on June 2, which was celebrated the following year by women in 18 cities across America. The holiday continued to be honored by Bostonian women for another decade, but eventually phased out after Howe stopped underwriting the cost of the celebrations.

Then in 1905, Anna Reeves Jarvis passed away and her daughter, Anna Jarvis, took up her mother's torch. Anna swore on her mother's gravesite that she would realize her lifelong dream of creating a national day to honor mothers. In 1907, Anna launched her campaign by handing out white carnations to congregants at her mother's church in Grafton, West Virginia. In 1908, her mother's church acquiesced to Anna's request to hold a special Sunday service in honor of mothers - a tradition that spread the very next year to churches in 46 states. In 1909, Anna left her job and dedicated herself to a full-time letter-writing campaign, imploring politicians, clergymen and civic leaders to institute a national day for mothers.

In 1912, Jarvis' efforts met with success: Her home state of West Virginia adopted an official Mother's Day; two years later, the U.S. Congress passed a Joint Resolution, signed by President Wilson, establishing a national Mother's Day emphasizing the role of women in their families - and not, like Julia Ward Howe's campaign, in the public arena. Ever since, Mother's Day has been celebrated by Americans on the second Sunday in May.

Perhaps the country's greatest proponent of motherhood, Anna Jarvis ironically never had children of her own. Yet that didn't stop her from making the celebration of Mother's Day her lifelong mission. In fact, as the holiday took on a life of its own, Jarvis expressed frequent dismay over its growing commercialization. "I wanted it to be a day of sentiment, not profit," she is quoted as saying.

"HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY"

Shy & FC - The Very 'Shy' Love Story

Since Hikayat Kitty and Lala generated such great reviews from the friendly folks at YYC, I decided to be romance writer from now on. Nah, just kidding. I'm not 'jiwang' enough but I think Jane is 'jiwang' enough to write all those 'geli-geli' love stories. I have however gotten a lot of request to write a Shy and FC love story, so as not to dissapoint my fan (only one - Jane) I will write the funniest story I can think of about them.

Hikayat Shy and FC

Shy and FC's love affair started much later than Kitty and Lala's. Before Shy, the YYC members thought that FC only loved TB because a lot of TB seems to like FC and FC sometimes also try to 'menggoda' them. FC's love for Shy developed in Form 5 when she noticed how pretty Shy actually was. FC couldn't take her eyes of Shy, she kept looking at her in class, in the canteen, in the lab, in the hall, in the coridor and she will keep saying that Shy is so beautiful. The YYC members said that Shy is FC's girlfriend and FC always deny but strangely she will say:" nomah, I just think Shy is very beautiful, I like to look at her face". Although she doesn't admit that Shy is her lover, but she will call Shy as 'Shy' and not her real name and continue to praise Shy eventhough she knows the YYC members will tease her.

Her love for Shy was very confusing, the YYC members felt like FC wants to admit but then too 'shy' but sometimes she's very open bout her love for Shy. As time went by, FC and Shy felt more and more 'shy' with each other maybe because they don't know how to confess to each other. Like once after reccess, the YYC members went back to class to find Shy standing at FC's table. We all felt so happy for FC and asked FC to go near Shy. But don't know why that FC suddenly too 'shy' and just stand at another YYC member's table instead. The YYC members being very nice and helpful decided to help them break the ice by telling Shy that FC had something to tell her. Shy immediatly asked FC to go near her but FC deniad cause she was too 'shy' again. Then Shy said:"kenapa bah kau ni tidak mau dekat sama aku? kamu takut kah?". That line was so sweet but FC hurt Shy's feeling by not moving at all. The YYC members were very dissapointed and maybe FC also regrets not going near Shy when she had the chance.

Eventhough FC had hurt Shy's feeling, Shy still gave chances to FC. For example, during class Shy would sit next to FC to copy the teacher's note but everytime FC is always too 'shy' to say anything. Then one day at a traditional costume competition in school, FC saw Shy wearing something beautiful and said:" all those other contestants don't have to compete cause Shy is obviously the most beautiful one of them all". At other times she would say:"look at Shy, she's so pretty, her face turns red when she's hot".

Sadly, until this day their relationship is still not successful, unlike Kitty and Lala who already have children together. FC is still too 'shy' to face Shy but she will always continue to praise and admire Shy no matter how far from each other they are now.

The Ultimate Love Story...and its not Romeo & Juliet

Today I'm feeling a little lovey dovey for no apparent reason, considering the fact that I am yet to find my significant other. I want to post something romantic, something Jane would like since she is the 'jiwang' one of our group and since I don't have any love stories of my own to share, I would share Kitty's.

Hikayat Kitty & Lala

It was two years ago, somewhere around the month of may or june when Kitty and Lala first laid eyes on each other. The YYC members were just form 4 students whispering and throwing curses at each other in the school lab while we struggled to copy the teacher's notes at the same time. Yes, the YYC members are the master of multitasking ;) Everything was normal when suddenly Lala walked to our table and snached Kitty's blue pen. Kitty looked up in shocked and saw the love of her life. The other YYC members were confused and couldn't understand the situation at that time.

Days later, Lala called out Kitty's name romantically in front of the whole class. She was actually looking for Kitty's lost paper but she kept calling Kitty's name instead. She was like:"Kitty! Kitty! Where's Kitty?" Before long, the whole class including the YYC members joined her and called Kitty's name eventhough she was sittin in the same class. From that moment on, the YYC members knew there was something special going on between Kitty and Lala.

Everyday since that romantic incident, Kitty and Lala would flirt endlessly with each other. Lala would pay special attention to Kitty in class and always ask her:"Kitty, do you understand?" And then she will give kitty a sweet smile while she gives everyone else an evil smile. Kitty will pretend to be innocent and say she doesn't have a relationship with Lala.

Months later, Lala became pregnant with their first child. It was a boy. He was named by the YYC members as Putera Kulat. Oddly, Lala became very mean to Kitty after giving birth. Maybe its because Kitty refuse to take responsibility for their family. But luckily, they manage to work things out and had their second child, a girl. The YYC members named her Puteri Chulalongkorn.
Til' this day, Kitty stills loves Lala and her 'dot dot' and chochalate milk. Eventhough Kitty always cheat on Lala with all types of 'chicken' but Lala still loves her. Hopefully they will live happily ever after!
